Peter Boex , artist carver in wood and stone, Cornwall. I started sculpting as an intuitive process in my childhood and it became my life. For now I am focusing on organic forms, torsos and masks and interpreting these images in different materials and in different combinations. It is the experimentation and experience of new materials that results in inspiring images. I have drawn influences from Mediterranean islands, Caribbean beaches and the Cornish landscape.

Wedding and anniversary breadboard. Memorial, church and fine carving commissions. The Wedding breadboard is first cut from a plank of sycamore. After cutting out the board on a bandsaw it is hand planed on one side and turned on the lathe, sanded and polished. The individual lettering is then drawn in pencil and hand engraved with a V tool. Because of the traditional round design the process is by hand and eye.
