Looking for some warmth to help the frozen hands to paint, we checked out a community park aptly named Palm Beach. South facing, out of the wind and plenty warm, it provided the perfect location. Friday, March 20, 2009. And Still It Snows. As always, we get anxious for spring and just when you think it is around the corner we get hit hard by more winter. The skiing in the back country has been some of the best of the season. Storms. Monday, April 6, 2009. The expression "out like a lion" certainly best described the end of March this year. The snow just kept coming and not just the in mountains but in the valleys too. Even the usually warm and dry agricultural lands of the Kettle Valley at Grand Forks were blanketed in new snow. Late Snow, Grand Forks, B.C. (15x36) oil on panel. But winter can't last forever. Friday, August 28, 2009. For most people summer means relaxing at the beach or hiking and camping in the mountains. For me summer is a time of madness occupied by 7 days a week of trout biology and field work. This all came to an abrupt.
