During his first full day in Japan, I showed him around the neighboring area of Akasaka and we looked around the Akasaka Shinto shrine together at night with my other buddy Sean. Afterwards, we ate at a small Japanese restaurant in town since Calvin was really eager to try some authentic Japanese food. Shortly after entering the main seafood hall, we were surrounded by stalls full of fresh fish brought in that very morning. Ther...

Yarennoka 08 (やれんのか!): Fukuoka Trip: Day 2 - Castles & Onsens

http://peterdagher.blogspot.com/2008/12/fukuoka-trip-day-2-castles-onsens.html

Sunday, December 28, 2008. Fukuoka Trip: Day 2 - Castles and Onsens. The next day we woke up early in the morning, determined to stay on Masa's. Well planned schedule. After about an hour of driving on some wide open roads, we reached a ferry port that took us across the water back to the center of Kyushu (Hiroshima is isolated on a peninsula). Both of us were a little tired from lack of sleep and we ended up taking a small nap inside the comfy cabin area above the car hold. Ninja posing for me. Volcano ...

http://peterdagher.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 31, 2008. As I was wandering around Akasaka. The other day, I found out that TBS, one of the major TV networks in Japan, was holding a summer festival literally minutes away from my dorm. As you can see they had a tropical theme and there were tons of different food and desert stands serving the people who came to visit. Akasaka's. Metro station lies directly under TBS's. The main reason they're having the festival over here. Fortunately, there was a Japanese. Peter G. Dagher Jr. One thing...

Saturday, January 3, 2009. Fukuoka Trip: Day 3 - Dream Bridge and Fukuoka City. On my last day with Masa, we still had plenty left to see and do in our remaining time. We would be completing the third leg of a triangle we made driving from Fukuoka - Nagasaki - Kumaoto - Fukuoka. In the morning it was raining heavily and we had planned to visit the nearby "Dream" suspension bridge which is mainly an attraction for tourists since it is only crossable. Grape Taffy, and Chocolates. Finally, we drove to downt...

Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Pictured here on the left is the front of Notre Dame and on the right is a portion of Saint-Chapelle. Both of these were incredible buildings and the inside of Notre Dame was enormous, it reminded me just a little bit of Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Thursday, February 19, 2009. http://nickinprague.blogspot.com/2009/04/catching-up.html

Thursday, April 30, 2009. Ok so I haven't blogged in quite awhile so I'm just going to do a real fast run through of things I have done and places I have seen over the past few weeks. If you want a lot of detail on what I did you will have to ask me because this post is just going to touch on each place so people know what exactly I have been up to on the weekends. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Was Constantinople, now its Istanbul. We landed in Ataturk airport and hopped in a taxi to Sultanhamet, the downtown area where most of the sites are. Sultanhamet is in the European part of the city (part is in Europe and part is in Asia) and the European part is where all of the sites to see are. So the first picture is clearly Maude and I in front of the blue mosque, the second is the inside of the mosque, and the thir is an example of the blue tile that is covereing the walls ...
