I was shooting a story on dance education and needed a shot of Charles Augins, Dance Director at the Duke Ellington School of Performing Arts. Augins granted me twenty minutes and told me not to move around. I took a spot behind the dancers because I wanted to show his intensity and also the dancers' movements.

Shooting a news conference presents its own challenges: Time and space constraints. I look for the best angle, compose a tight shot and wait for the right moment.
