it's all nepalese* to me: March 2009
http://itsallnepalesetome.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
It's all nepalese* to me. My views from the top of the world (or somewhere close to it). Friday, March 13, 2009. Trekking Makes Me Love Nepal (all over again). So my family, and I’m sure all of you, think all I do is trek… but REALLY, if you look back, I’ve only been trekking twice (this last time included)! What can I say? Nepal is made for trekking (sorry, Peter, that's just what they call it here! So when Sam said, “Hey, want to go trekking? I had to say yes! I AM in Nepal, people. ;). Sam and I both ...

it's all nepalese* to me: January 2009

It's all nepalese* to me. My views from the top of the world (or somewhere close to it). Friday, January 23, 2009. Living in the Dark. I’d heard about load shedding before coming to Nepal, but I didn’t think it’d become such a big deal since I dealt with no power situations in Uzbekistan. I thought, hey, that’s cool… at least Nepal gives out a schedule of when the power cuts will happen. Seeing how many hours without light (and internet) is nothing to look forward to. And UPS back up systems. I will prob...

Not just black and white. February 1, 2012 • 2:33 am. Baby stats and other arbitrary thoughts. Adrienne had her two-week (actually 17-day) check yesterday and passed with flying colors, if that’s possible. She was up to 7 lbs 2 oz (from her birthweight, 6 lbs 8 oz) and had grown an inch to 20-1/2 in. No wonder the poor thing sleeps all the time – that much growing sounds like hard work! I haven’t uploaded pictures for a few days, but here’s one from last week. Mostly thanks to the review of them here.

Not just black and white. February 24, 2012 • 4:08 am. Just do the next thing. I’ve been browsing. Large Family Logistics: The Art and Science of Managing the Large Family. It’s just that, once they’re done, they have to be done again the next day. Sometimes it feels aimless and discouraging. I appreciate what this blogger writes. Filed under: Daily Life. February 29, 2012 at 9:11 am. This “someone” can totally appreciate a planning time! And this post resounds so much with me personally and what I’...

Not just black and white. February 15, 2012 • 9:44 pm. I listened to a sermon awhile ago about Hannah in 1 Samuel 1. Speaking of the agony with which she longed for a child, the pastor referenced Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5),. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted…. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God…. The Rest of God. Take anything you delight in here on earth: Your children&...

It's all nepalese* to me. My views from the top of the world (or somewhere close to it). Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Check Rhino Off the List… But Still in Search of That Tiger. So also over Dashain. Of course I would go to the park and ride an elephant. The elephant ride was jostling 2.5 hour experience through the jungle. I saw deer, peacocks (not sure where they came from), and yay! And… more points because I saw a baby rhino, too! Sadly, I did not see a tiger… but I’ve already decided th...The night...

Peter In Peter Out
Peter In Peter Out. Nakhon Phanom Rockland Phnom Penh Jakarta. Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth, that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end is a beginning. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. I want to explore Indonesia of course, but I am trying to cram that in weekends, thanks to cheap domestic flights. Also, my friend in Manila works for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. And she suggested Bohol/panglao Island. A jarring experience came...

Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Sunday, March 13, 2011. While researching my question to find the fastest roller coaster in the world, I found a great site that listed the top 10 roller coasters in the world and explained them all. The speeds that were listed were absolutely insane. The fifth highest and fastest roller coaster is named the millennium force. This coaster reaches heights of 310 feet and goes up to 93 mph! Opened up in 2005. Kingda. Is so tall, that in 2009 it was struck by lightening! The passa...
peterinrwanda Lyrics – peterinrwanda Lyrics
Lyrics from peterinrwanda Sites TAMIA Go Lyrics, singer by TAMIA. I sat outside your house today. Just thinkin’ you’ll never learn. It’s like the time I packed your things. And dropped ’em off where you were. I know you love to wash your car. So I left it in the lake. They say the strongest part of love is called hate. Do you feel like I should). Sit around with your touch. And your smell on my couch. And your hair in my brush. I loved you too much. Do you think that I should). Move along, change my phone.

Food and Sports. My favorite things! Derby day at the track. May 5, 2013. I just had the most wonderful day. I went to Portland Meadows to celebrate the 139th running of The Kentucky Derby. And even though my horses didn’t come in, I would totally do it again! We couldn’t have had more beautiful weather today in Portland. The place was packed, but there was plenty of space to get away from the crowds. Can you believe that? April 10, 2013. April 10, 2013. Don’t do it. OMG, it tastes horrible! Follow &ldqu...
