I collected my Gemini from Galaxy Models on the way home on a Monday afternoon. It had it's maiden flight the following Saturday. Here are a few pictures that I took during the build. It's not a full "build log" because there wasn't really a lot to do. Even the packaging is quite impressive. I took the time to unpack everything and check it off against the parts list. Twinstar II Maiden Flight. Due to bad weather on Wednesday evening I finally got to maiden my Twinstar II today,. Here we are ready for the first flight. She's still "virgin white"! John opened up the throttle and away she went. No "dip to get up speed" with this bird . straight into a climb. John commented on how little trimming she needed, just a little "nose down", but the elevators were very sensitive so he landed and we set up the transmitter with dual rates and some exponential for the elevators.

Now that the chances for flying are getting less and less as winter approaches, I decided to get a small helicopter for indoor flying. As you can see I've constructed so training undercariage from some bits of carbon rod and 6mm depron (left overs from my Minimum autogyro build). Luckily my back yard is well sheltered from the wind as I don't have a big enough clear space inside my (rather cluttered) house, at least not big enough while I'm still getting the hang of flying it.
