I love when the weeks finish on Friday with a late photo session. We started with a warm up classic portrait configuration and switched to some more creative configurations later on. The endlessly long leather boots showed up their black textures in contrast to the light skin tones. The configuration was quite simple. I used the Fujifilm X-T1 and the xf 56mm f1.2 lens at f11 with all tree flashlights. Next time I will try continuous light combined with LED torches. Waiting for the sunset.

Div uk-panel', row:true}" data-uk-grid-margin. For the techies I like to share that it is my Fujifilm X-T1 with the XF 56mm 1.2 at F11. I mainly worked with one 120cm octogone mounted with a grid. The soft light is wrapping nicely around her and the shadows are controlled with a large white panel on the left. Waiting for the sunset. Mara and a red peach.

Woensdag 15 juli 2015. Op naar Cape Cod. Het is nog overtrokken deze ochtend maar het zou beter worden naarmate we meer oostwaarts gaan. Het is alleszins reeds vochtig warm. Zondag 12 juli 2015. Een juweel in de natuur. Na een rondleiding van twee uur rijden we verder. Onderweg zien we een afslag naar 'Flight 93 Memorial', de derde site van de '9/11 attack'. Nu we hier toch zijn, nemen we er die ook maar bij. De memorial is nog niet helemaal afgewerkt, maar we krijgen toch informatie en een indruk van deze catastrofe. Onze overnachting in Hollidaysburg is een B&B, op het eerste gezicht een gewone locatie maar de kamer is ronduit prachtig. Mijn volledige profiel weergeven.

Vrijdag 17 juli 2015. Met de ferry naar Long Island. Het is geen boeiende dag vandaag. We rijden van Cape Cod over Newport terug naar New London. Op de weg is het niet heel druk in onze richting maar wel in tegengestelde richting. Gelukkig maar want we moeten onze ferry halen in New London. We zijn er op tijd maar met niet veel overschot. Donderdag 16 juli 2015. De ene tegenvaller na de andere. Het weer ziet er beter uit dan gisteren, de zon schijnt maar er staat wel meer wind. Voor we deze namiddag gaan kayaken, rijden we eerst tot Chatham. Het ziet er een gezellig stadje uit, maar veel tijd hebben we niet. Om 13h moeten we aan het meeting point zijn aan Nauset Marsh en we hadden al gemerkt dat het verkeer zeer druk is. Vanuit Provincetown, Massachusetts, Verenigde Staten. Maandag 13 juli 2015. Het beste ijs van heel Pennsylvania. We hebben 400 km te rijden vandaag en er is niet echt veel te zien. Of toch? We komen langs State College, een voor ons onbekende plaats maar met een aantal opmerkelijke bezienswaardigheden : de Penn State University, het Beaver stadion (2e grootste van de wereld) en (wat ons het meest interesseert) de Berkey Creamery, met het beste ijs van heel Pennsylvania. Het ijssalon ligt middenin de campus en we kunnen echt zeggen dat het lekker is!

Zaterdag 11 juli 2015. De dag van de Memorials. Via een aantal drukke snelwegen met vele splitsingen, op- en afritten komen we rond de middag aan in Washington. We gaan niet de hele stad bezoeken maar alleen een aantal hoogtepunten. De eerste is het Pentagon met de 9/11 Memorial, kleiner dan de Memorial Pools in New York maar even indrukwekkend.
