Monday, May 30, 2005. The way people spell my surname. My name was incorrectly spelled on the name tag which I was required to wear. Friday, March 02, 2007. Getting children to eat vegetables. I heard so many parents complaining that it is so difficult to get their children to eat vegetables that I decided to do something about it. Thursday, June 23, 2005. I am amazed by the beauty of the views that I saw when I was working at a home in the hills. The place is designed to make best use of the great outlook from nearly all the rooms. I felt so much joy whenever I looked out the wide windows at the ever changing scenery in those moments that I looked up from the jobs that I was working on. I am inspired to enjoy the smaller aspects of beauty that I would otherwise overlook in the less spectacular environments that I am usually in.

Wednesday, March 22, 2006. Just before my birthday I won a 63 centimetre (26 Inch) colour television in a random prize draw. What a surprise! This brand new big beautiful telly is all mine! But what would I do with it? I rarely watch TV. Here I am at Telstra Stadium a few miles outside Sydney with this big 40 kilogramme box, and I am scheduled to travel on the bus back home to Melbourne that evening! Wednesday, July 06, 2005. I was soldering some plugs on to the end of some audio visual connecting cables. I knew that I could have purchased ready made leads at a price much lower than the cost of employing me for the time that it takes me to make up these leads. There are several reasons why I make up these leads. 1 I need them now and can not wait for the cheaper ones. 2 The cheaper ones are not readily available in the right length or configuration. 3 I want a higher quality than the cheaper ones.

Saturday, August 06, 2005. I could clearly see the difficulty that Mary and John were having. So I told them the following story. I asked John what he would do if he did not get what he wanted.
