Mistake (Pantoum) | The Purge
https://ali30days30nights.wordpress.com/2016/08/27/mistake-pantoum
August 27, 2016. It tastes like copper. It’s musky like defeat. It just clings to you. I pivot around the thought. I balance my hope on a plinth to see. How it holds against the strain, to see if I can build something of value. To grow is to learn. To learn is to suffer in a dance with chances. I pivot around the thought. I balance my hope on a plinth to see. What is the best way to sculpt this truth without ruining what is left of my pride. Sometimes I go against the rhythm and color outside the lines.

1/30: Waves (NPM) | The Purge
https://ali30days30nights.wordpress.com/2016/04/02/130-waves-npm
April 2, 2016. This transition is hard. I saw it coming but there. Is no way to completely prepare for the waves. That are heading in my direction. No matter how crafty. My attempts are to secure. My position, it will not be enough to. Prepare me. Either way. I will be moved. I will have to go through the motions. And deal with the losses and gains. That follow the end of an episodic tradition. I am being snatched away from my zone of comfort. And a part of me is excited. For what I will leave behind.

1/30: Goodbye – NaPoWriMo | The Purge

1/30: Goodbye – NaPoWriMo. April 2, 2014. National Poetry Month is upon us again. I’m very excited about participating in the 30/30 challenge this year. I had a great time last year. I love poetry. This year I’m doing things differently. The poem below is from Ethan (my protagonist) following the loss of his father. I had to say goodbye. I didn’t want to. But I wasn’t given a choice. I wasn’t given time to prepare myself,. But how much time would be adequate? Feel 5 years old and alone. Pingback: Camp Na...
