just a glutton for sympathy: books schmooks
http://peterroy.blogspot.com/2009/03/books-schmooks.html
Just a glutton for sympathy. This is the end? Friday, March 13, 2009. I'm currently reading Herzog by Saul Bellow. I really like it so far. I have a lot of books on my to-do list. Like The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. By Michael Chabon, Sometimes A Great Notion. By Ken Kesey, Ulysses. By James Joyce, You Shall Know Our Velocity. By Dave Eggers to name a few. Maybe since I'm in my car so much these days, I should invest in some audiobooks. Hmm. good idea. Anyway, just wanted to let you know.

just a glutton for sympathy: science, art, and dreams.
http://peterroy.blogspot.com/2009/04/science-art-and-dreams.html
Just a glutton for sympathy. This is the end? Thursday, April 9, 2009. Science, art, and dreams. I just had a dream. Me: That's what I've been doing lately too! Steve: No you haven't. I've seen your stuff. Me: Have you seen my latest website. It's as simple as anything I've ever done. Steve: Yeah I think I've seen you working on it, that whole thing where when you move the mouse the eyes move to follow the cursor. That's really strange, and also cool. I never have valuable dreams like that. The o...HEY h...
just a glutton for sympathy: driving
http://peterroy.blogspot.com/2009/05/driving.html
Just a glutton for sympathy. This is the end? Sunday, May 24, 2009. If you're riding a motorcycle, the amount of people texting and calling people while they drive will scare you to death. Then again, if you're riding a motorcycle most things should scare you to death. But if it scared you to death, then you'd be dead, and really not have to worry about it. May 26, 2009 at 1:17 PM. just a glutton for sympathy: a new post... a year later
http://peterroy.blogspot.com/2010/08/new-post-year-later.html
Just a glutton for sympathy. This is the end? Monday, August 30, 2010. A new post. a year later. Well, I think I have decided to try blogging again. I got kind of burned out on it last year, but maybe I'm now ready for round 2. New things in my life:. 1) I now live in Portland, OR. And I love it! 3) Still doing poetry. Getting better at it. By this I mean I'm writing stuff that is actually what I want to write, is honest, and people still seem to like it. 6) I started a worm composting bin. The right...

slow motion fast train: January 2009
http://wheelturning.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 19. My 175 year old friend points and says "there's Bobama. Bobama's nose". In a youtube address president-elect Obama recognized the country's concern, worry and tired minds. . One of the statements he made was, (memory quote/unofficial) "Parents are worried that their children will not receive the same kind of opportunity they did" . Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. for progression of necessary things. May we try to follow. Monday, January 12. We got started on this topic by discussing ...
slow motion fast train: If I could prevent my sister from 5 things.
http://wheelturning.blogspot.com/2010/01/if-i-could-prevent-my-sister-from-5.html
Saturday, January 9. If I could prevent my sister from 5 things. Here's one. I wish that she would not see procrastination as an option. Sure brainstorming under pressure is exciting. Not leaving enough hours to do the best you could do- horrible. Stressful. Not worth it. My acquaintance with procrastination explains why this is my first break today to eat. I hope I can produce a nice finished cookbook for my grandma by the close of this evening. Because she deserves the best! 03 February, 2010 14:13.

slow motion fast train: Save me some daylight
http://wheelturning.blogspot.com/2010/03/save-me-some-daylight.html
Sunday, March 14. Save me some daylight. I am a little excited about dlst (day light savings time) I figure if I explain abbreviations or acronyms, (so many are like hard word problems these days) ( but I love a good word problem) I will save you time trying to figure out my meaningless thought. So for the next couple of weeks (because no we are not breaking for spring yet) I will feel very early. Parking in darkness. 15 March, 2010 09:30. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My perception of supply and demand: ...and you got some change back!
http://travisolsen.blogspot.com/2009/01/and-you-got-some-change-back.html
Monday, January 26, 2009. And you got some change back! To be completely unoriginal I'm feeding off of Pete. The Assassination of Jesse James by The Coward Robert Ford. Movies I could do without. Doug Liman directed The Bourne Identity. I guess the steady film hand wasn't a high priority for the people running the show on this triology so they switched it up to Paul Greengrass who spends about as much time on one shot as I'd want to spend locked in a closet with Julia Stiles. Literally milleseconds&#...
life and the rest: Twenty Seven Is A Good Number, Right?
http://cspicer.blogspot.com/2009/01/twenty-seven-is-good-number-right.html
Thursday, January 29, 2009. Twenty Seven Is A Good Number, Right? I love Japanese cinema. I haven't seen nearly as much as I would like, but Akira Kurosawa is one of my top five all time favorite directors. When I go on long drives, I listen to podcasts. Usually Garrison Keilor giving the news from Lake Wobegone, or more recently, You Look Nice Today. People talk to me about my height at least once a day. The first movie I saw in the theater was The Passion of the Christ. I was 18. The earliest memory ...

Thursday, July 31, 2008. This Is Why I'm Hot. I saw this question posed on the internet recently. You have a child that is born deaf. When your child turns 16, they receive implants that allow them to hear. What is the first song that you play for your child? Therefore, I've narrowed it down to four songs. Don't make me choose between these four, please. The Whaler by Thrice. Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Blackbird by The Beatles. And Amazing Grace sung by Aretha Franklin. 10 ...

Thursday, August 7, 2008. Saying Goodbye To Friends. No, I'm not leaving Oregon yet. Not until next week. But I did have to say goodbye to some very dear friends tonight. Twitch, Katee, Courtney and Joshua, you will be missed. In case you don't already know, these were the final four dancers for the show So You Think You Can Dance. The finale was earlier tonight and Joshua took home the title, which was well deserved. And so, in the spirit of life, friendship, and beginnings. As told by Chris Spicer.
And one fine morning---: A Post

And one fine morning- -. So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past. Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Its been a long time. I know I said I wouldn't let myself wait so long to write, but I never get motivated to write. Well tonight I am. And I'm just gonna share what my summer has been so far. life and the rest: November 2008
http://cspicer.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 14, 2008. Art and Worship Before Work. I had the privilege of playing worship music with a couple other guys at college church this morning. It was only for an hour because I have to go to work soon, but I'm glad I got to be there. While watching the students and their youth pastors paint, I couldn't get the thought of someone making a mistake out of my head. What if one person took liberties with a gross color all over the sky, or painted someone with purple skin? I finished The Red P...

Seeing, in the finest and broadest sense, means using your senses, your intellect, and your emotions. It means encountering your subject matter with your whole being. It means looking beyond the labels of things and discovering the remarkable world around you".

I personally laughed so much I could hardly breathe! He was so funny and I am unsure if it was coincidental or not, but I identified with every situation he described. He read the room perfectly and made the awards night one the most enjoyable nights ever. He was funny, helpful and extremely sociable - our guests loved him! What people are saying. I could hardly breathe! For the Last 15 years Peter has worked as a stand-up comedian and or Master of Ceremonies solely in the corporate market.

Peter's Page – thoughts to share. November 9, 2011. One of my favorite classmates is a young man named Aarion Joseph. He is pretty easy to spot. In fact, there is little chance that you could miss him in a crowd. Aarion stands six feet nine inches, and his crowning glory is his well groomed “dreadlocks” fashioned after Maasai warriors of East Africa and one of the most recognizable symbols of modern Rastafarian culture. Senior management consultant, specialist in effectieve samenwerking.
