Lois and Jim's sock drawer. Thursday, July 16, 2015. This cardinal wanted to snack with us, but soon flew off to feed its kids in a tree nearby. Up to Si's tree house. We continued our fun and snacking at the Lake Linganore Farmer's Market. Erica and Jim enjoyed the bay-spiced pickles.I enjoyed the dill pickle on a stick. Jim even bought a jar of dills for us. Lois and Jim's sock drawer. Monday, July 13, 2015. Looking out the front window. Now these guys nibble around the ajuga because they cannot get to the veggie garden! All in the prep work! Jim taped around the sunroom windows before using Briwax for a really fine finish. I had finished rejuvenating the planters and wanted to put all the tools away. What a surprise to see our snake on the ramp! We watched it slink on down under the shed and rest in the shade. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Along the way can scope out the inflatable armadas! Lots to absorb. Maxed out the FitBit! Back to town for a look around. Taverns and tool shops! Must have known we were coming! Links to this post. WitCanCarry: Color Our World
http://witcancarry.blogspot.com/2015/07/color-our-world.html
Lois and Jim's sock drawer. Sunday, July 12, 2015. Day lilies blossomed in the driest, clay-like soil. Hardy flowers reminded me of us- strong and beautiful. At $5/quart container, these beauties joined their friends in the clay soil. Within a day, they were blooming. Loved the lily sale, the planting, and the blossoms. Meanwhile, Grampy had been adding some color of his own to the letters he created for the treehouse. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). New York, United States. View my complete profile.

Lois and Jim's sock drawer. Saturday, June 6, 2015. Balance of Work and Play. Thanks to the loppers Gabe gave us, Jim had an easy time of trimming the azalea bushes. (I supervised.) Short window of opportunity for trimming: Must be done when blossoms are gone and before the buds set at the beginning of July. Evenly shaped and easier to see the road as we back the car out of the driveway. One more chore before we head to the Frederick Arts Festival on Carol Creek. Of course, Jim finished the job. After go...

WitCanCarry: Oh, the Progress We've Made!!
http://witcancarry.blogspot.com/2015/07/oh-progress-weve-made.html
Lois and Jim's sock drawer. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Oh, the Progress We've Made! Drove to Cherry Hill to visit mom, shopped for some essentials, set up the new microwave, and took my mom to the bank. Several weeks ago, Thelma showed me the eye-sprouting sweet potato and asked if we wanted it for the garden. Seems as if Thel has started her own indoor garden just as her grandmother had done many years ago. Mom has a way with words! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). New York, United States.
