I grew up in Tampa, FL listening to Rush, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Jeff Beck and 80's metal. I went to normal college for a while, and when I decided to study music, I took a semester at Berklee in Boston before settling in at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. There, I studied Jazz Performance under Jack Petersen. Heard exciting new sounds, and met a great many interesting and talented musicians. Playing in " 3 The Band. Is one of Portland's premiere stonemasons, known for his mastery of "dry-setting" in stone. Interest in stone began during his childhood in New England where he was surrounded by century old walls. Later, while attending college in Wisconsin, his exposure to the work of Frank Lloyd Wright sharpened his appreciation for the use of stone in architectural design. Work is characterized by strong architectural and functional qualities, suitable for use in both private and public environments.
