What We Think We Become: Friday Nite
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2013/05/friday-nite.html
What We Think We Become. Saturday, May 4, 2013. I like Friday nights. They are so full of possibility. I hate to go to bed, even though I am tired, I hate to waste a moment of my precious free time away from my day job. I can stay up writing, surfing, texting, watching TV, but I just don't want to go to bed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other Places I Practice My Typing. Who I Am Reading Today. What We Think We Become: Painted into a Corner
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2014/02/painted-into-corner.html
What We Think We Become. Saturday, February 1, 2014. Painted into a Corner. Finally got myself settled in and painted a bit last night. It has been months. I am in transition.living full time in two different places, left my job, traveling for a few months and feeling like a spinning top. I felt really grounded just putting gesso down on paper. I wasn't going to do anything more, but the lure of paint and color called and I started pushing paint around. I'm glad I did. I takes my breath away. The truly g...

What We Think We Become: October 2012
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
What We Think We Become. Thursday, October 25, 2012. I got pulled over AGAIN! He said I was going 71mph on Rt 3 on my commute to work! Nowhe was driving toward me, how could he possibly have clocked me? I am not really sure what speed I was doing, but I really, truly, almost never speed! He did not give me a ticket. If he had, I might have just thrown myself off the local bridge. He just gave me a warning to be more mindful of my speed and I promised I would. I promise I promise I promise. I am looking f...

What We Think We Become: Weather Wonderland
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2013/05/day-2-above-70-degrees.html
What We Think We Become. Thursday, May 2, 2013. Day 2 above 70 degrees. Since I moved north, I have had to work on my preconceived notion that Spring should mean the world gets warm. In the northern parts of the US along the Canadian border, it does get warmer but it does not get warm in Spring. Warmer - for me is 55-75. We have been lingering in the 35-45 range with brief interruptions of 70degrees which sent us all over the edge and made March a very cranky month. May 2, 2013 - Later that week. Grandma...

What We Think We Become: Hello Again...
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2013/10/hello-again.html
What We Think We Become. Friday, October 11, 2013. It has been a long long time since I put words on paper for my poor nearly forgotten blog. I am living with my mother who needs some assistance. I will go with her to Louisiana in November and I will stay for a few months while I try to help her organize her home there, and maybe get some reliable assistance, do a little house cleaning, etc. Though I am worried about Mom, my stress levels are way down and my activity levels have gone way up. We have been...

What We Think We Become: August 2012
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
What We Think We Become. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. I can't believe it, but they said yes, and now I will have an art studio where I can keep all my stuff in one place and leave things out to be worked on when I return, and have a table big enough to do big things! Hubby is not sure I am going to like being away from home, but I am definitely going to like having so much art clutter out of my house! Other times, I work on my kitchen table.about 3' wide and 2' deep. I can use the entire second floor....

What We Think We Become: Glazed
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2013/04/glazed.html
What We Think We Become. Saturday, April 20, 2013. 11/4/2012 I was making these only glazed paintings with bits of old book pages, tissue, and other odds and ends. I liked them a lot and even showed two in an art show this summer. It was a learning experience - isn't that what we say when we are unhappy with what we went through, but learned how to do it differently next time? Or not to do it at all). I have rarely had two days in a row at the studio. When I have, I have felt very productive. Who I Am Re...

What We Think We Become: 4 May 2013
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2013/05/ahhh-spring-it-is-elusive-thing-where-i.html
What We Think We Become. Saturday, May 4, 2013. It is an elusive thing where I live. I am sitting on the screened in porch and my toes are cold but it is so beautiful and sunny, I do't want to be anywhere else.except maybe out there.where the gnats are. It is also gnat season.clouds of them - in your face, in your nose, going splat on your windshield. Their life span is short but plentiful. I think I live in the most beautiful place on earth. You do indeed live in beautiful country, darlin! The truly goo...

What We Think We Become: January 2013
http://whatwethinkwebecome.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
What We Think We Become. Friday, January 4, 2013. I have not been in the studio for the month of December. I had some traveling to do, and of course the Christmas - New Year list of things to do and people to see. But I did work on a calendar for my mother. Last year I made one for her out of watercolor paper that I bound together, and she LOVED it. And I loved it and I loved that it made her think of me whenever she used it (she did not want to use it at first, she just wanted to look at it). I am very ...
