The BELIV workshop series is a bi-annual event focusing on the challenges of evaluation in visualization. BELIV 2016 will be the sixth of the BELIV workshop series and will be held Oct 24, 2016, as a one-day workshop at IEEE VIS 2016. In Baltimore, Maryland, USA. This year we received 17 submissions, each one was reviewed by three members of the program committee; and the chairs accepted 11 papers for presentation at EuroVA. The papers are four page short-papers with one extra page for references prepared using the EuroVis formatting guidelines. Authors of accepted papers give an oral presentation and the Proceedings are published by the Eurographics Association. Finally, we are delighted to welcome Professor William Wong.
