実際に発表されている日本の国土について話を進めていくと、日本という国が世界的視点から観測した際に日本という国は大体の国土ランキングで 60位 に位置している 約37万8,000平方km となっている事を考えると、少なくともロシアなどのはっきりとしている国と比べたら、それこそ勝負どころの話ではないので良いとしても、そこまで極度に狭い国という印象は払拭できるのではないだろうか。 都道府県を含めた 普通地方公共団体 と、地方公共団体の組合や特別区といったものを含めた 特別地方公共団体 がある。
