Saturday, March 1, 2008. McGuire's Resort, Cadillac MI (3/1/08). We spent our Leap Day weekend in northern Michigan and staying at McGuire's Resort. Was a great get away. McGuire's has it all. 27 holes of golf, 2 restaurants. If you are looking for a great get away, I highly recommend McGuire's.

Saturday, September 6, 2008. Well it has been a while since I have blogged. As for the results of the competitions that I worked so hard for, I got fifth in the Gaylord show and won the Flint competition two weeks later. It was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to start training again. I still try and do as much strength training as possible, and I have taken up riding the bike. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. My real passion is to get into the schools, especially the elementary schools, to help kids get more physical activity and teach them the good and bad things to eat. There is such a high percentage of overweight and obese kids and it is not getting any better. I just would like to touch as many of them as I can to improve their self esteem and get them moving. Saturday, October 25, 2008. Ready to start training again. I just recently finished a class of figure competitors for the Flint MI competition held on October 11th. My girls did awesome and I was in awe at how far they came in 12 weeks. They received a couple first places, and a couple of second places.
