Pixel Based 3D Rendering Engine. The most obvious way to display realistic 3D model in real time is to render them on a high end graphics processing unit. Even with really good GPU, some models are still not as real as we'd like them to be. This project is an experiment to see if it could be more efficient to render some models with a different method, optimized for complex shaped objects. The algorithm is based on two assumptions:. Most object will be seen from a certain distance.

Light Controller is a mini light show setup. Both software and hardware are custom made. A personal challenge in the conception of the electronic was to use only logic circuits; no programmable components. To make that possible, the computer stream in real time the position and color of each light through the serial port. A first circuit synchronize a clock signal with the data received. The stream of data is then transferred and read by the lights.
