Bloggled: Real Dreams
http://philip-bloggled.blogspot.com/2014/01/real-dreams.html
My life's been bloggled. Wednesday, January 8, 2014. I'm reading Ann Voskamp's 1,000 Gifts. This morning, just so desparately trying to see God in my mess. This line hit home: "I believe in the power of the pit.". Anger, stress, bitterness, rage, pride, offense, accusation, murder, hate, lies, and then the pit is ever so deepening within me some days. I used to be a prisoner to it. I knew the prince well. I guess I still do. Is he not enough? Or dare I say he is, the great I AM. The presence, who by ...

My life's been bloggled. Tuesday, July 10, 2012. I had a terrible day yesterday. Horrible. It was simply horrible. And, oddly, I felt great. If I was to rank my days according to productiveness (which I don't as it would be very depressing), on a scale of 1 to 10, yesterday I would have needed to use some rudimentary algebra to rank a negative 3. Yeah it was that bad. The itch became a scratch and spread into a full body rash by the end of the day! I was pretty much a big red festering welt by the end.

My life's been bloggled. Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Again, Again and Again. Since I quoted Keller yesterday, I thought it would only be fair to quote him a little more in context of his view of scripture. It's such a refreshing take for me, because I know that I am just like the folks of scripture he goes on to describe:. So where is the hope for these folks that are so like me, the selfish and the hell-bent? Keller continues about such folks like me:. Most people think just the opposite about God and...

My life's been bloggled. Thursday, May 31, 2012. In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God." - John 16:27. I heard it on the radio the other day.). As I'm typing this, I'm looking out of the window at my office and thinking, "Come on, you really believe this stuff. Just look out there. Look at the grass, and the trees birds and cars, all ...Some ...
Bloggled: God Spoke
http://philip-bloggled.blogspot.com/2014/01/god-spoke.html
My life's been bloggled. Friday, January 3, 2014. God spoke: “Light! For the month of January I've taken on a free-write challenge from Jeff Goins. Http:/ goinswriter.com/my500words/ to get my blog going again and to begin walking through my questions on scripture as well as other random thoughts. So if stuff is rough, sorry, I'm going to try and keep the editing to a minimum. God spoke: “Light! God saw that light was good. And separated light from dark. God named the light Day,. He named the dark Night.

Thursday, January 30, 2014. Yes, it Matters That Chloe Stirling is 11. By now you have probably all heard of Chloe Stirling. The 11 year old girl whose booming home cupcake business was shut down by the state of Illinois. Why? Because they stated that her home failed to meet the sanitation standards required of a "professional kitchen" by Illinois law. They suggested that she rent space in a professional kitchen, since that can be cheap and easy. Right. You have a populace that accepts victimhood as inev...

Our story in His Song. Monday, February 20, 2012. Of Jungles and other things. Our backyard, is, apparently a thoroughfare for wild animals. Two bobcats this morning, an armadillo yesterday and a wild boar last week. So much for the friendly woods with inviting tree house for the kids. Thanks, Anna. You did a beautiful job :). Our story in His Song. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. The Kite Runners, or why you should buy a plastic kite from the dollar store. But when we tried to fly the albatross, that's when my heart sank. I ran frantically around the soccer field, trying to get a gust under the kite, only to slam it into the ground. Over. And over. And over. So much for that. At least Teya was still smiling at the end of the life of the kite. Rest in peace, kite. Rest in peace. By candle light and. And in went the sweet little face!

Our story in His Song. Sunday, September 2, 2012. Leu Gardens field trip - March. The Harry P. Leu Gardens have been an amazing destination. Native flowers, plants, trees. lots of things one might find in a garden :). Weed flower" bouquet for a beautiful flower named Teya. One of our rules for the gardens (and life outside) is no picking planted flowers. Weeds are prolific, and we enjoy weed flowers tremendously! Seedlings.soon to die. Our house before the paint job. Our story in His Song. Monday, January 17, 2011. We have been living under a blanket of snow for the last week. I can hardly believe that 8 days after our big snow, it is still covering the ground. A few outings and lots of indoor creativity have made this a fun, restful week. Sebastian, age 6 1/2. Teya, a sledding queen. Too cold to go outside. Snow day creativity. What a sweet gift she makes! Our story in His Song. Friday, May 27, 2011. It was a dark and stormy night. Signs of summer life. I think I must be missing something. Days are flying by, little feet, tanned by sun and dirt, are growing, growing, growing. I've already harvested spinach from the garden, and the plants are bolting. Can it be that another summer is already here? Sign #1 A Day for Mama. The end to an amazing year of pre-school, an unexpected, unasked for year of the blessing of friends and sweetly nurtured growth. It was a...

Our story in His Song. Saturday, July 31, 2010. A Slice of Paradise - Pender Harbour 2010. Our annual family time at the Rawlston's in Pender Harbour, BC was phenomenal, to say the least. I never imagined that I'd feel so rested and at ease on vacation with a 2 and 4-year old. But it was wonderful - Phil and I were even able to have a picture taken of the two of us - thanks Emma! A moment of respite. Looks like a good conversation (? Sisters. Emma (8 1/2) and Alli (12 1/2) are great hiking partners.

My life's been bloggled. Friday, May 23, 2014. 8220;I was alone, I’d just sent everyone on ahead of me. It was still dark, and I saw a figure approaching. Not knowing whether this was an enemy or foe, my heart started to race. Then he raced at me. Catching me off-guard, he tackled me around the middle and hurled me on my back. Instantly I could tell he was wiry guy and might be tough, but he wasn’t a natural fighter. I’d fought before. I knew I was stronger but he fought with resolve. Much like Jacob in ...
