Recently I spent a lot of time at an event called Bikes, Blues and BBQ. It is the 3rd largest biker rally in the country, and the 1st largest as far as how much money is raised for charity. If you have never been, here is an idea of what it looks like: Thousands of bikes, plenty of food vendors, fair type atmosphere, loud live music, stunt bike shows and plenty of other things. I had the opportunity take an old friend to the Summit. Yesterday. Since we are not fortunate enough to be able to connect more than only every couple of months he had not seen the black stripe in my hair. So I now have a new nick name."Black hawk." Nice! Two things I took away from this time:. 1 Relationships are important! 2 We need relationships so people can be there for us when we have ups and downs. I carved pumpkins with my girls yesterday morning. That was great! We went to the Loving Choices.

I was making coffee a couple of days ago and realized that I didn't. Know how to make coffee. The bag says 2 tablespoons per 6 ounces of water. I measured my coffee pot, and discovered that the "6, 8, etc." doesn't mean 6, 6oz cups it means 6, 4oz cups. I just felt like the coffee pot and I have never had an honest relationship. I feel like the coffee pot has been mis-leading me for a long time. Had the coffee pot been mis-leading me? What is it in your life that you are mis-understanding?

Monday, January 25, 2010. Jim and I also got a new mattress OMG wonderful we were so overdue for one its not even funny I sleep so much better and love it plus it was a great deal. We had the roof replaced on our Fayetteville house along with gutters and flashing put on this house. OF course all of this including the mattress was done on the Dave RAMSEY plan which meant we had the cash for it and didnt have to finance anything or stress out about it.
