It sounded good enough that I ordered the second receiver, a feedback controller and a new four space rack. The guitar works well without a preamp. A Different Place. A Different Time. Music, Musical Equipment and Life. Saturday, January 15, 2011. Gretsch G-6040 Arch top guitar. I was fortunate to aquire this guitar a few months ago. It is an archtop jazz styled instrument with enough volume to use acoustically. When plugged in, it has that beautiful, mellow Gretsch tone.
