Technical comment and response published in Science. September 21, 2016. Last year, we published our study “Principles of connectivity among morphologically defined cell types in adult neocortex” in Science. The paper generated quite a bit of attention – and now a technical comment. Details of our reply. In the course of preparing the reply, we also submitted all fully reconstructed neurons from that study (n=298) to neuromorpho.org. Where they will be available shortly. June 30, 2016. July 4, 2016.

November 27, 2015. November 30, 2015. Our new paper has been published today in Science. In this work lead by Xiaolong Jiang in Andreas Tolias’ lab. At Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, we classified cortical interneurons in adult mice and mapped their connectivity diagram. Interestingly, three simple rules go a long way in explaining the structure of the connectivity matrix. For me, this is a nice piece of heroic wet-lab work combined with the right level of machine learning based analysis. Worksho...

Talk at BCCN Workshop on Natural Scenes. August 25, 2014. On September 2nd, I will give a talk at the workshop “ Characterizing Natural Scenes: Retinal Coding and Statistical Theory”. Organized by Arno Onken and Jian Liu about our recent Nature Neuroscience paper “ Population code in mouse V1 facilitates readout of natural scenes through increased sparseness”. I am looking forward to an exciting workshop program and interesting discussions! Posted in Not assigned. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A large variety of models have been proposed that try to predict where people look using only the information provided by the image itself. The MIT Saliency Benchmark. Willkommen auf PhilippBerger.de. Neue Stadt - neue Homepage.
