A blog about the philadelphia phillies. not to be confused, exactly, with "caught looking" the debut album by independent/unsigned/unheard of singer/songwriter greg roth, who is, coincidently, yours truly. Friday, April 14, 2006. On to Colorado, .500 ball in site. Posted by gr @ 12:00 PM. Friday, April 07, 2006. The Phils seemed to be ready early, knocking out six singles in the first 3 innings and scratching out a run in the second. Conversely, Mathieson was tough early. While some of us have been excit...

Monday, October 31, 2005. Theo Epstein has resigned from the Boston Red Sox. Pass the yams and shut up, StandPat. And that is truely the Phils' loss. Posted by gr @ 11:35 PM. With reports, from when and where still slightly unapparent to us, stating that American League geezer and. Over the weekend, Da...

A blog about the philadelphia phillies. not to be confused, exactly, with "caught looking" the debut album by independent/unsigned/unheard of singer/songwriter greg roth, who is, coincidently, yours truly. Thursday, June 29, 2006. No Blockade on Castro. Earlier today, the beleagured (and beerleaguered) Phils traded AA starting pitcher Daniel Haigwood. Why fortify the bullpen when its the closest thing to a redeeming quality among a mid-season nosedive? Why pick up a half-pint Rule 5er? 2, back to back st...

A blog about the philadelphia phillies. not to be confused, exactly, with "caught looking" the debut album by independent/unsigned/unheard of singer/songwriter greg roth, who is, coincidently, yours truly. Thursday, May 18, 2006. Who knew that in only his second major league start, King Cole would be called upon to stop a modest, yet troubling, losing streak? Send down 6 of 6 in the late innings before former Phils Rule 5-er Derrick Turnbow came in and flippin' struggled. But the demands on him at this p...

Driven to Deep Center: Helloooooooo
http://driventodeepcenter.blogspot.com/2007/05/helloooooooo.html
Driven to Deep Center. Thursday, May 24. WAS LAST NIGHT NOT THE MOST UN-FULFILLING WIN OF ALL TIME! I was in the midst of watching the season finale of Lost. And switched back and forth during commercials. So since I can't totally give an honest recap of the win (if it can be called that), I'll just copy down some of the text messages I received during the game from my friends who were watching it. Rod Barajas is a fucking piece of shit". Brett Myers' wife is very happy he hurt his beating arm". So once ...

http://driventodeepcenter.blogspot.com/2007/08/espn.html
Driven to Deep Center. Monday, August 13. This shouldn't even be considered a post. I just need to get one thing off my chest: Fuck ESPN and their Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts. WOW! NO ONE CARES ABOUT BONDS ANYMORE! STOP TALKING ABOUT HIM! And Joe Morgan is an absolute fool. When Burrell walked in the first inning and wasn't really being held on at first, his exact quote: "Burrell can run.". He makes Sarge sound like Socrates. Hopefully I'll start doing this more. Ohand go Phillies, die Mets.

Driven to Deep Center: A Confession....
http://driventodeepcenter.blogspot.com/2007/08/confession.html
Driven to Deep Center. Thursday, August 30. I spent most of Thursday watching replays of Werth stealing 2 bags, Iguchi singling him home and Utley's walk-off single. I honestly watched the 9th inning close to 100 times. And it was one of the best days of my summer. That game was awesome. I was happy, pissed, happy again, pissed again, ready to kill, then happy yet again, then went fuckin' nuts when Gooch scored on my boy Utley's single. Are those pink guys the cleaners at Shea? We Should be GMs.
