The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Sunday, March 28, 2010. WASHINGTON DC and WILLIAMSBURG VA. Melissa and Taylor in front of the Capitol. GW Law School is just 2 blocks from the White House so they are right in the center of American politics. This is their new apartment that they will move into in June. You can't see it but it has a beautiful tree right outside the front window. It is in a complex of old colonial brick buildings and the grounds are really pretty. Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Tuesday, February 9, 2010. TOM'S BIRTHDAY and VALENTINES FOR VETS. I forgot my camera so I had to take these on my phone and they are a little fuzzy. Last week my seminary class made Valentines for the Vets. They did a great job and we had a lot of fun doing something good. We celebrated Tom's birthday last month with friends and the birthday favorite.blueberry pie. We had a lot of fun going out to dinner with our friends the Haynes, Bennett's and Pedersen's.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Monday, July 27, 2009. On July 16th Matt celebrated his 23rd birthday! We went to his favorite Mongolian Barbeque and then to the new Harry Potter movie. Alyssa made some yummy peanut butter bars for dessert. Sunday, July 12, 2009. A BUSY THREE WEEKS. Tom, Bradley, Matt and Taylor built a tree house in the backyard and we had a great time playing with the kids. And we had to say good bye to Taylor and Melissa as they moved back to Utah. We swam almost every day.

The Life and Adventures of Tom and Syl. Friday, December 17, 2010. Lexi’s Christmas Pictures. Today we took Lexi to the mall for her first Christmas pictures that Amanda had a coupon for. We were only going to get the advertised deal but she was just so cute we had to get a few more. Thanksgiving was so fun this year. The weather threatened our plans but ultimately everyone got here and we had a relaxing long weekend with family, friends, good food and lots of holiday traditions. Brian, Amanda and Lexi.

Sunday, January 22, 2012. A Month of Firsts! Someone just turned one month old! I can't believe it's been a month already. Part of me feels like he was just born, but then part of me feels like he's always been in our lives and I can't remember how it was before him. This has been the most exciting month though because everything he does seems to be a first for something. Obviously, one of his biggest firsts was his first Christmas! Thursday, March 1, 2012. Trevor just turned 2 months old! I still can't believe how fast time is flying! It seems like he was just my squishy little newborn! Now, he seems like such a big boy. He loves to play with his little jungle gym and will laugh hysterically while he hits the little toys over and over. He also "talks" like crazy. Lots of "oooh" and "ahh-gooo"! Here he is in his new ones compared to the little ones. Apparently, I don't make milk, I make straight cream. He took the shots like a champ!
