Friday, May 11, 2012. In grade school in Santo Tomas, we used to celebrate Mother's Day by wearing a corsage on our dress or shirt lapels. The colors signified whether one’s mother was still alive or have passed on and "gone home to live in heaven with God". In the latter case, one would wear a corsage of white flowers, while the former, any multi-colored flowers would do. I love my mother with all my heart despite all her human imperfections.
