Guidebooks

Since the earliest days of Philmont, a series of guidebooks were published to provide important and useful information to campers. From 1979 until the present, each guidebook is dated with the year it was intended to be used. Prior to 1979, the guidebooks were undated making it a little more difficult to establish what year they were for. Guidebooks to Adventure from 1965 to 1978 are undated. 1965 is the first known use of the name Guidebook to Adventure and a forerunner of the the guide books used today.
