Code and musings by Ben Watson. Writing High-Performance .NET Code. Don’t Make This Dumb Locking Mistake. What’s wrong with this code:. Try { if (! The problem is that the. In the finally block will try to exit the lock, even if the lock was never taken. This will cause an exception. Use a different. March 10, 2015.

Code and musings by Ben Watson. Writing High-Performance .NET Code. DiskSlicer is a drive space visualization tool. You may use it for free. 4 thoughts on “ DiskSlicer. September 24, 2010 at 12:32 pm. Great Tool. Very light. Intuitive to use. Just an all around very effective way to help manage my file system. Comes in handy in a pinch if you have a server running out of room. 😛. May 19, 2011 at 12:23 pm. September 24, 2014 at 8:35 pm. Is there a way to use this utility from command line via arguments?

Code and musings by Ben Watson. Writing High-Performance .NET Code. Announcing Microsoft.IO.RecycableMemoryStream. It is with great pleasure that I announce the latest open source release from Microsoft. This time it’s coming from Bing. Before explaining what it is and how it works, I have to mention that nearly all of the work for actually getting this setup on GitHub and preparing it for public release was done by by Chip Locke [ Twitter. Meliisms: February 2008

http://meliisms.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html

Saturday, February 2, 2008. I know why the grass is greener in Lubbock. In any case, I took a mental note of the greenness of the grass and proceeded to do my shopping. When I walked back to my car, I discovered a grounds worker diligently spraying green paint on the parts of the grass that hadn't yet reached that lovely spring green hue. Apparently, this green is indeed not natural, but painted. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Alexandria, Virginia, United States. View my complete profile.

Meliisms: December 2007

http://meliisms.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 27, 2007. Christmas with the Boys. Finally, Anna and I had Christmas with Jeremy and Jacob. We always have fun with them! My second Christmas was at Anna's house in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mom came down from Raleigh. I think she was a little surprised that I gave her so many chili pepper accessories for her kitchen- -I guess I've spent too much time in the Southwest! I LOVE the new cycling jersey I got! We get a little crazy playing games in my family. Christmas with Dad and Beth.

It was an amazing and restful trip. Here are a few pictures:. Santa Elena Canyon. The bluff on the right is in the U.S. The bluff on the left is in Mexico. The river is the Rio Grande. I hiked up along the U.S. side of the canyon.gorgeous! Near a formation of slick rock called the "window". A beautiful late afternoon sky.

Sunday, July 13, 2008. Happy Birthday to Me! Sowhere should I go for big 36? Simone, Julianna, Eliz, and I in front of one of the many waterfalls we enjoyed on our hike. I love this picture of Eliz and Simone! I love columbines, too! Dinner with good friends was the perfect ending to my birthday. If only I didn't have to go home! Happy Birthday to you! You could always come celebrate in CO - we could invite some of your friends over, have a chocolate fountain, etc. Just a suggestion. Happy Birthday to Me!

Meliisms: The Perfect Purse

http://meliisms.blogspot.com/2008/06/perfect-purse.html

Thursday, June 5, 2008. I would take a picture, but I don't know where my camera is at the moment and don't feel like looking for it. In any case, the morals of my little story are these: Don't give up on finding the perfect purse. Don't settle for less. And remember that the perfect purse might not be quite as you imagined it to be! Andrea, MPA, JD, MRS. Thank you, oh Sage, for you wisdom. *bowing in humility*. June 6, 2008 at 8:49 AM. Hey, congrats on the shopping success! Anyhow, enjoy your new purse!
