Ramesh on Music: Raag Revathi in Films
http://rameshonmusic.blogspot.com/2007/05/raag-revathi-in-films.html
Raag Revathi in Films. Revathi is the first raagam that I learnt on my small keyboard 10 years ago. Here is the arohanam and avarohanam:. A: S R1 M1 P N2 S. A: S N2 P M1 R1 S. Western notations: C C# F G A# C. This is not used much in films may be due to the classical / devotional flavor. The first film song I knew in Revathi is the "Ye Mera India" from the film "Pardes". It is a very good composition in Revathi. It suits the patriotic flavor too very well. Other songs in Revathi include:. Hey thanks for...

Carpe Diem: Suttum Vizhi
http://ayrawashia.blogspot.com/2009/02/suttum-vizhi.html
Tuesday, February 3, 2009. I installed Logic Studio and while my head was spinning at the sheer quantum of text on the manuals, I gave the set-up a shot. The result, my try at ARR's version of Suttum Vizhi rendered beautifully by Hariharan. Take a listen. Posted by Mind of an unknown. Did u refer the original lyrics before you sang? I ask this question because Hariharan's rendition has too many pronunciation mistakes. The singing is really beautiful but I felt u were unsure on the words in some places.
