Phil Stevos Canoe Blog. New to International Canoe sailing in 2006 I was attracted by the US proposal to resurect the old development design rules with new lighter boats. Thursday, October 9, 2008. Third, probably where I should have expected. But I won one race which was rewarding for a couple of reasons. The winds were mod to light and variable. The RC had difficulty getting stable winds to set courses. But we did manage the full quota of races. But we had a good regatta with some close racing at times.

Phil Stevos Canoe Blog. New to International Canoe sailing in 2006 I was attracted by the US proposal to resurect the old development design rules with new lighter boats. Thursday, June 12, 2008. I have some interest in buying the Hollow Log. I will have to drive half way to Adelaide next month to meet Kevin, but at least it would go to somewhere with a few other canoes sailing. I hope they can get a good nucleus of a canoe fleet happening upon which the class can build. Posted by Phil Stevenson.

http://canoesailing.blogspot.com/p/4-boom.html
ACA Sailing Canoe Instructions - DIY. Instructions to build you own ACA class open sailing canoe. Make a boom from 25 x 50 mm wood. Straight side comes against the sail sleeve. Measure position of the gooseneck (dimension X) when the gaff is attached to boom and sail is mounted. Hole size of 8 mm is good for ropes.
