http://phoebefrances.blogspot.com/2011/10/drop-seats-continue.html
The Phoebe and the Letterpress blog where I share all things pretty and crafty. Back to Phoebe and the Letterpress. Sunday, 30 October 2011. The drop seats continue. I have finished the first drop seat to calico! Here is it is in situ. My friend still needs to pick her fabric and then i will finish it off by covering in that, but the calico will do till then. I quite like it plain. So how did it get to this stage? Well here is where we left off. I had finished the webbing and filled the wooden frame.

The Phoebe and the Letterpress blog where I share all things pretty and crafty. Back to Phoebe and the Letterpress. Monday, 20 September 2010. I have been learning the beautiful and relaxing art of quilting of late. Whilst searching the internet for help and inspiration, I have come across some lovely blogs as well as purchasing a wonderful book with one of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. I will start with the book first as it neatly segues into the blogs. For almost half that. Hi, thanks for...

The Phoebe and the Letterpress blog where I share all things pretty and crafty. Back to Phoebe and the Letterpress. Monday, 5 December 2011. Stitch-up and Colourful cushions. Well, it is December already. I know I feel this more and more every passing year, but where 2011 went, I really don’t know. I had a pang of jealousy. Walking around the shop and hearing all the positive things the other eager patrons had to say, but ‘Shoulda, coulda, woulda’ as they say. Monday, December 05, 2011. Links to this post.

August 18, 2011 by cultureandcake. A friend was recently in Frankfurt and as she walked along the footpath she came across a bookshelf! July 29, 2011 by cultureandcake. Is it the choice of subject matter? The number of pages? The use of big words? Is a Margaret Atwood or Salman Rushdie book considered to be of a higher literary quality than Dan Brown or Stephanie Myer? If so, why? What will they be reading in school? I wrote an earlier post. Asking if we...

Are you ever embarrassed by a book you are reading? November 10, 2010 by cultureandcake. One of the blogs I enjoy reading is called Bookish NYC and every week she writes a post called ‘ seen on the subway’. How odd is that? I’ve read quite a bit of trash in my time, but I’ve never felt the need to hide it. Of course this started me wondering abou...
room: Stairway heaven??!
http://theroomers.blogspot.com/2011/05/stairway-heaven.html
Wednesday, 4 May 2011. Finally managed to complete the stairway in our house. It was a tricky one! A narrow steep staircase in a typically Victorian house had it's challenges but anything was better than the sludge green effort left by the previous owners. Being the first thing you see when you walk into the house I wanted it to have a welcoming and impressive impact. Really pleased with the outcome. Especially love my black rope bannister - classy! The Phoebe and the Letterpress blog where I share all things pretty and crafty. Thursday, 13 September 2012. You know that Belle and Sebastian song, Don't leave the light on baby. I feel like i have sung that first line to myself several times over the last year or so. Not that anything is majorly wrong, but you know when you feel like things just haven't been going right? I find it can really kill your creativity. So today, i decided to start something new. And here are its beginnings. Links to this post.
