OUR VILLAGE - HOCHSTADT. The images seen here are part of a collection of 75 images made on various black and white films exposed in medium format cameras (Hasselblad 500 CX or Plaubel Makina 67). To establish a quality photo archive for the community, I presented the complete set of pictures, in archival mounts, to the local heritage society Unser Dorf. During an exhibition of these images for my 80th birthday. Unser Dorf represents a wide range of cultural activities in Wessling in Upper Bavaria.

BIOGRAPHY George E. Todd. In 1972, George Todd moved to Bavaria to work for the German Aerospace Research Establishment. Living in a small village within sight of the Alps soon reawakened his artistic interests, especially in photography. He began to take closeup pictures of flowers, and specialized in detail, still life or human interest subjects using medium and large format cameras. Since 1978, he has enjoyed dozens of “one-man” exhibitions. Todd also conducts workshops and seminars. See BOOKS and MORE.

From 1983 through to 2001 I have enjoyed over 50 ‘One-Man’ exhibitions in countries and places as far away as Huntsville, Alabama or Houston, Texas in America to cities nearer home such as Munich and many others in Germany. Also in Europe collections of my works have been seen Innsbruck, Austria, Museo Agricolo e Vino, Capriolo and Massa Marittima in Italy.
