MFR photoblog: the other side of the mike
http://mfrphoto.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-other-side-of-mike.html
The other side of the mike. I have to admit, I am not used to being on the other side of the mike. Filmmaker Holly Morris interviewed me. About my book last week. OK, we interviewed each other. She is making a film about the old women still living in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. TED released her TED talk at the same time as my book. Today, I'll be describing some specific photos from my book on the NPR show Take Two. Livestream the show here. And I'll post a link to listen later. Skype, facebook, flickr:.

MFR photoblog: feeling thankful
http://mfrphoto.blogspot.com/2013/10/feeling-thankful.html
Here are two crazy unbelievable things:. My book Would You Stay? Which started as a little project in Chernobyl in 2007, will be a book out there in the ether, as of tomorrow. We were, I must confess, still making last-minute improvements until 10 o'clock tonight. But now it is really and truly on its way. Tonight I am feeling so grateful to all the people who helped in so many ways over the years to bring this dream of mine to life. The one above is by Alana.). Posted by Michael Forster Rothbart. MFR photoblog: Education Portfolio
http://mfrphoto.blogspot.com/p/education-portfolio.html
In my commercial work, I photograph for colleges, universities, museums, schools and summer camps. MFR for Swarthmore College. My strength (beyond creating stunning images) is working closely with clients; I help them identify their key audience and the stories they want to tell, then plan and create photographs that meet those needs. See photos in my Higher Education. See photos shot for SUNY Oneonta in their new photo library. Also see my portfolio of commissioned portraits. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

MFR photoblog: diary of a solo parent, week 2
http://mfrphoto.blogspot.com/2014/07/diary-of-solo-parent-week-2.html
Diary of a solo parent, week 2. Posts about parenting while Amy was away, continued. Archived from www.facebook.com/mfrphoto. Week 1 is here: http:/ mfrphoto.blogspot.com/2014/06/diary-of-solo-parent.html. Day 8 of solo parenting. Here are 2 things I think all new parents should be told about eating with kids:. 1 Don't expect to sit down for a full a meal in the next decade. 2 Serve small portions and save some in reserve. Dad, Jacob said, looking at the neighbors, I think you should put some pants on.

Jacob and natalies first years. This photoblog chronicles the life and times of Jacob Forster Rothbart. And his new sister Natalie. Monday, January 03, 2011. Jacob and I built and photographed this winter scene together. Jacob is already 4 1/2, and says he wants to be a photographer when he grows up. Or a fire dog. Or a T-rex. 2010 has been a very full and wonderful year for us, and we hope it was great for you as well. It may sound cheesy but I mean it. Happy new year! Posted by Michael Forster Rothbart.

jacob & natalie's first years: Happy Hallowe'en
http://jacobfr.blogspot.com/2008/11/happy-halloween.html
Jacob and natalies first years. This photoblog chronicles the life and times of Jacob Forster Rothbart. And his new sister Natalie. Saturday, November 01, 2008. Photo by Irene Forster. For Hallowe'en, Jacob was a lion. He marched (or ran, actually) in the Hallowe'en parade and helped aunt Sarah pass out candy to the trick-or-treaters. And he roared at all of them. In fact, he is still roaring a day later. He also discovered those dangerous gateway drugs, M&Ms and Smarties. Roar! Or by RSS feed:.
