The Blog of the log of Antares. June 27, 2010. June 26, 2010. Home is the sailor, home from the sea…. Our beloved vessel and friend, Antares is for sale. When one cruises a boat, especially a sailboat, it becomes almost animated; a friend, a nearly alive thing. It’s a sad day when you have to sell her. We were so fast, we actually had to slow down, to arrive after daybreak. We had a lot of fun with them, and were sorry to see them go. The pain was eased a little by joining Joel and Vela at the Fort Laude...

This is our new crew from Dominican Republic. Jeff picked out the uniforms. Our niece, Lara and Aaron join us for 2 weeks cruising in Puerto Rico. I think they call this a rear entry. Oops,unsuccessful rear entry. Not a lobster but almost as large……what is it? Culebra, one of the Spanish Virgin Island….So far our favorite. Aaron catches a barracuda.

I won’t say anything more, for fear of stealing the thunder of my friend Lulu, the famous cruising restaurant connoisseur (see the latest issue of Bue Water Sailing ). That’s why you have to look at completely boring pictures of parrots. OK, we’re off to the fish taco place. More later. Jordan and Cindy waiting for the ferry. Haul out Isla Mujeres. It’s true that his writing abilities are more developed than mine but I’ll try my best to make this blog entry somewhat intelligible and entertaining. However, I must point out that he can’t even draw a stick figure. Oh well, you can’t have everything .and I’m better looking too! Ulus and laundry in Kuna village.
