How a general optimist lives in a sometimes pessimistic world. Seven years later →. August 26, 2008. Me and Abi at SHS Senior Night, 1998. I’ve been spending some time tonight poking around on Facebook and Myspace, looking at the profiles and pictures of old friends from high school. I just keep thinking about how the past decade has changed many of us, and how some parts of our personalities really seem to be the same. I look at one friend who has really come out of her shell since high school, and when...

Escalator · over · the · hill. How will I ever know you enough to love you. I went to see The Spirit of the Beehive. Last night I stayed up later than I should have watching something very different. Masterpiece Theater was being re-run at 3 am and I got sucked into it because this week's show was based on a Philip Pullman book ( The Ruby in the Smoke. On that note, I'm going to go eat a pot pie. Fairytale in the supermarket. Writing at least one sentence at least vaguely related to music almost every day, at least over the summer. Tuesday, July 24, 2007. They're gonna crucify me. As long as Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn and Jones Ltd. is one of the Monkees albums you own, you are on safe ground. July 25, 2007 at 11:11 AM. I can burn you some late-era Beatles albums if you want. My favorites are The Beatles (the white album) and Past Masters Volume II, which is all singles and b-sides.

How a general optimist lives in a sometimes pessimistic world. August 24, 2008. Ryan has gotten into making salsa recently. He’s pretty good at it, too! Last night he made a great cilantro-lime salsa to enter into the 2008 Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival. Here’s a look at the salsa in progress in the food processor:. The sad part is that we had to give away a whole pint of the stuff when Ryan entered it into the contest this morning. We’ll have to make some more soon! This entry was posted in food.

How a general optimist lives in a sometimes pessimistic world. Jazz @ The Elephant Room. Songs about Sara(h) →. Not bad for a Monday. August 18, 2008. I had a productive day at work today, and a relaxing evening at home. Also, it’s nice and cool outside – in the 70s right now – and I’ve been hanging out in the living room with the sliding door open, letting the breeze come in (and saving some AC). Tomorrow will be a busy day for sure, but today has been nice. This entry was posted in life. Get every new ...

So this is a normal day on the internet for me:. I find this disturbing article in the NY Times. About an anthropologist in the employ of Disney,. http://absoluteclassicmasterpieces.blogspot.com/2007/04/bit-of-art-on-walls.html
Tuesday, April 3. A Bit of Art On the Walls. Here's a few of my favorite recent album covers. Starting from the top, we have:. Stars of the Lid - And Their Refinement of the Decline. Pantha Du Prince - This Bliss. Patrick Wolf - The Magic Position. Stars of the Lid. I like how the Patrick Wolf album completely differs from the 4 others in how busy and totally insane it is. The buildup to the fifth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center has been coming on for some time now, but today it is here. Later that morning, Jenny and I drove to our f...
