Life, Training, Friends, and Red Bull. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. This past weekend I decided to take the drive up to Schenectady NY, for the #2 Race in the NYCROSS series. I'm not trying to do well in the NY State events or anything, I just wanted to race. Since the 2 hour drive was the closest of the Mid Atlantic races I thought "what the hell? In my world the start of 2008 means the beginning for several important things. A new training season has begun. A new year of searching for work. Most importantly, it brings to mind all the people, co-workers, mentors, and friends who are not around anymore for whatever reason. I starting to reflect on certain things in my day to day, and am realizing the roles each person and activity plays. Back to training. I’m a complete mess when it comes to things, most things.
