Steinway K Vertegrand Upright New-York 1922 signed by Alfred Cortot. Alfred Cortot being a Steinway artist, signed this piano while touring in Montreal. The piano plate upside down. The original finish is removed and the soundboard and bridges are repaired. The plate is rebronzed and new strings are installed.

When making the touch heavier, special care must be taken so that each key is given the right mass. Replacing the key bushings. Lubricating the jacks in a upright action.

Securing down the now cleaned and polished agraffes. Several nuances can be created, here is a classical finish. Blüthner 1935 The bronze finish was crackled to the point it had to be stripped down to the metal. As a result the entire plate had to be resurfaced. Waiting to be anchored down in the piano.
