http://duessaandmardi.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 22, 2014. Book 12 of 60:. The worst hard time. I've been obsessed with narrative non-fiction for many, many years, and this book has been on my shelf for far too long. He also focuses a good deal of time on hugh bennett and franklin roosevelt and their attempts to bring sanity back to the area. All in all, this was a deeply moving text for a reason i can't quite put my finger on. well done, mr. egan. Thursday, February 20, 2014. Book 11 of 60:. A man without a country. Book 10 of 60:.

duessa and mardi: January 2015
http://duessaandmardi.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. Photography challenge - january: family. I totally sucked at this. I ended up spending the first part of the month sick then was thrown into the chaos of the beginning of a new semester, so this challenge, and photography in general, had to take a back seat. Below are a few images of family i managed to capture during my mom's 60th birthday party. They aren't great, and i'm less than proud of them, but i must post them to remain true to my purpose. Next month's theme: words.

Friday, January 31, 2014. Book 6 of 60:. Love is a dog from hell. I'm a poetry snob, and you should know that right away. i studied the classics- everything from homer and virgil- up through the greats of the renaissance like wyatt, spenser, and sydney. i have a soft spot for metaphysical poets like donne and for whitman. poetry is something i revere and cling to. At the very least, it's good fun. BZRK by michael grant. Sunday, January 26, 2014. Book 5 of 60:. Country of the pointed firs. While the plot ...

duessa and mardi: on new challenges.
http://duessaandmardi.blogspot.com/2015/01/on-new-challenges.html
Friday, January 2, 2015. So this year, instead of an official reading challenge, i've opted for a photography challenge. Photography has always been a love of mine- waxing and waning from time to time as other interests/necessities took its place. i miss it often. I was gifted with a beautiful new camera for christmas, so a photography challenge feels right. Mine will be a twelve month challenge, each month having its own theme. Here, in order, are the themes to come this year:. March: starts with b.

A Wondering Disciple: October 2011
http://wonderingdisciple.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
The reminiscing of a curious follower of Jesus. Monday, October 31, 2011. I Don't Get It. Now, some day I may read this parable and go, "Ah-hah! I totally get this now," but if I haven't learned how to live and love as Jesus lived for and loved me, than I haven't learned a single thing of significance. So, after almost an entire year of jotting down what I think about this passage or that passage. My blog for today is simple:. Stopping point: Luke 18. Labels: Gospel of Luke. Wednesday, October 26, 2011.

http://erinvoss.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
There's Always Money in the Banana Stand. Monday, April 12, 2010. Our Vegas trip was fun, but quick! We arrived Tuesday morning and left on Friday, which was just enough time to enjoy the city. Only to lose it again. No worries, though; it's all part of the fun. So cute, although I kind of felt like an ant. As I mentioned in my last post. Vegas shows that aren't burlesque or washed-up oldies singer are hard to come by, but luckily we found ones that fall into neither category. We saw Jersey Boys. I had a...
