Sunday, April 12, 2009. Hello Jingting here doing a quick update from 18th school! We went to BeiJing last weekend with the guys from 43rd school, it sure was an eye-opening experience :D Got there via train (not to be confused with the MRT type), I believe it could be a first time for some of us travelling by that mode of transportation too! Friday, April 10, 2009. Dawn has elaborated most of our daily routine school life. It's been a great experience in ShiJiaZhuang. It's so different from what I initially thought it would be. Rural and shabby areas? And the toilets here are DOOR-LESS and it has a strong stench like what Flo has mentioned! Most of us usually won't use the toilets here unless it's really urgent. Friday, April 3, 2009. Will be heading towards Beijing in like less than 12 hours time. I had been looking forward to this trip since… erm… Thursday. It was rather an impromtu one and much things are still left unconfirmed. But nonetheless, I still think it will be a fun experience taking the train and going to attractions in Beijing. Plus, of course, tasting their well known 北京烤鸭. =). Our homestay kids will be joining us for this trip and it’s kind of safe in the sense that there are locals around.
