Making Bay Windows

Start with a wood texture. I opened TX0115 in the PI2000 textures file. To find your PI texture files go to FILE/OPEN/PICTURE I! 2000 CD/TEXTURES/WOOD. You need to make a copy of the wood your choose and close the original, or you will get stuck later! Once you have your wood resized, you will now go to CUTOUTS and PICTURES/TRIM CUTOUT/CUT A HOLE/COOKE CUTTER. You use the square and cut out a "pane" in the wood. You will repeat this down the wood, on both sides.

Read the tutitorials for Glass Text and Glass Dingbats FIRST! You can add some different colors quite easily! You will start with your favorite text or dingbat that you have already made into glass. You will need to make a copy of this, I find going to FILE/DUPLICATE OBJECT works well! Click on the new layer, then go to PAINT and COLOR EFFECTS/FILL WITH GRADIENT. It will fill with what ever gradient you choose! After you choose, click DONE and then you will line the 2 layers up, one on top of the other.

Start with a blank square of any size or color. Go to CUTOUTS and PICTURES/CUT OUT OF PICTURE. Choose the circle and resize it in to an oval shape and cut it out. You need 3-4 ovals, so you can duplicate your picture by going to EDIT/DUPLICATE PICTURE or CTRL U and make 3 copys.

Please read my glass text lesson FIRST! You will do the dingbats the same way as the letter, just a little more tricky! You can start with your favorite dingbat, I start with the ding, because then I can make a note of the font and letter that makes the ding I want to use. Then you will go to TEXT/JAZZY EFFECTS/TEXTURES/CHROME. When you click chrome, your ding will change into the letter for the ding.
