What is a picklebird? Today, picklebird received a most unexpected and very pleasant surprise. A chocolate bar delivered via the United States Postal Service! I have to confess that after the day after the last post, I did go out and buy a pint of B&J's Chocolate Fudge Brownie Low-Fat Yogurt. But that is now, of course, long gone, so the Lindt bar has arrived just in time. And it is also perfect sustenance for the road trip to Vermont. Thank you to the fellow picklebird in Mill Valley.

What is a picklebird? Highlight of my mother's visit to Cleveland: Pointing out the fireflies, which she had. Never seen in her whole life. I realize that I have lost whatever readership I may have had, but maybe somebody will randomly check picklebird just one more time and get this little surprise. . . I also learned, as a result of my mom's recent visit, that I like my apartment so much better when it's actually clean. Why didn't anyone tell me this trick before?
