http://pickledthink.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Speculative fiction author A.J. Fitzwater. One writer's journey, includes frequent toilet stops. Sunday, November 16, 2014. Once more award season has rolled around! 2014 has been a reasonably quiet affair publication wise, so I will have at least one, hopefully two stories available for nomination. The first is the short story "The Dragon in the Wardrobe". Which appeared in Betwixt Magazine's January issue. For nomination guidelines for New Zealand's Sir Julius Vogel Awards, check out the SFFANZ. Gravit...

Speculative fiction author A.J. Fitzwater. One writer's journey, includes frequent toilet stops. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Awards Elibility.of a sort. It's that time of year again where everyone is reminding everyone else about what their 2014 looked like publishing wise. The last couple of years I've done a fairly straight forward bibliographic list of stories published, but since I only had one original story published in 2014 I'm coming at my award eligibility from a different angle. So, if you thi...

http://mothersforchoice.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Mothers For Choice Aotearoa NZ. Saturday, August 14, 2010. On Friday afternoon I attended a presentation at Auckland University organised by the Campus Feminist Collective where Julie spoke about the need for a pro-choice law in regard to abortion in New Zealand. The talk was well attended by both women and men, and there was the inevitable presence of some pro-lifers. Unfortunately they had to leave early to prevent their cars being ticketed. I'm feeling positive about our ability to really make a diffe...

Pickled Tales Home
A quick site for friends and family, wherever you are, that enjoy a story or two. I managed to get a dozen of my short stories formatted for online reading - these can be viewed via computer or ereader. I converted them for use on various ereaders; the easiest format - universal - is the .txt file. It loses some of the text options, but should work fine for loading. I also generated .pdf files in case it works better for some ereader-users (can also print out if you wish) and set them up as web pages.

Blog entries from another universe, another time, same soul. This is my last post. =). I want to start all over again this coming 2005, and part of it is leaving behind this online journal. 2004 will go down in my personal history as the year that i became a moonbeam; the year that i shared the minute details of my life with the world. I took the actual first few steps of the working class. 2003 was just the stretching of my catapult. in 2004 i flew. I met blogfriends – flyingschoolgal, noreia, sil...
