Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Other than my Nuthatches and Chickadees not too many birds are bold enough to come feed when I stand near the feeders. This one however was bold enough to scratch in the grass not too far from me. I believe it to be an immature Harris Sparrow. Correct me if I'm wrong please! November 2, 2011 at 7:40 PM. Very nice. Monday, March 29, 2010. March 27, 2010 Sharp Shinned Hawk. Walking in the woods in Wisconsin, the noisy leaves startled and scared off the birds. Except for this guy (or gal). I was using my 55-200 lens and this is still very cropped. Sure would like the 70-300. one of these days! Tuesday, November 1, 2011. A Seed A Day. Today I stood outside near my feeders and just waited for the birds to come after refilling the feeders. The nuthatches are the bravest.
