http://picturebookmama.blogspot.com/2010/01/pink-refrigerator.html
One Mom's Review of What She Reads With Her Kids. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. The greatness of this find was very unexpected. Upon reading it we discovered a valuable message about the importance of learning, exploring, and trying new things. This is a new favorite of our whole family (including my husband! Labels: * * *. One Mom's Review of What She Reads With Her Kids. Saturday, September 12, 2009. It's been a while since I reviewed what I consider a five star book (or reviewed any book for that matter.) This one definitely deserves it! It's one of my new favorites. I really like the determination of the main character and the pictures are absolutely fabulous. My girls and I have read this book over and over, and I honestly don't get tired of it. This one is worth checking out! Labels: * * *. View my complete profile.

The Lewis Family: August 2012
http://marenslife.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A day in the life. Thursday, August 16, 2012. We have had such a fun and busy summer! I absolutely love having the kids home all summer. In fact when it came time for them to go back to school earlier this week, they were ready but I was not! I wanted to keep having fun and playing. I am so grateful that there is such thing as Summer Vacation! It was a nice escape from the school-year stresses of schedules, homework, and bedtime (okay, maybe I don't mind the bedtime part! Good-bye to Uncle Brian. The gir...

Sunday, May 24, 2009. We were doing our thing the other night…watching the Lakers and Nuggets, and Kobe was doing his thing… hitting every shot, when Jeff Van Gundy (aka “Ankles”) says, “Kobe Bryant is the best Laker ever! 8221; Realizing the weight of his words he quickly threw in a “maybe.” As though a simple “maybe” could make the world right again… what a cop-out. But blaming it on a fear of flying? Who does he think he is, Madden? I mean how many of these guys are afraid of flying? Who will win ESPN...

Tuesday, June 2, 2009. My Fave Five Point Guard: Counterpoint. I've got a lot to say about who's in my Fav Five, so I'm gonna go position-by-position. On some points I'll agree with my bodacious wife with amazing sports knowledge, but on others I'll definitely disagree. We'll start with the point guard position, where I definitely disagree. Hope you enjoy! How can you go wrong with Magic? The Big O averaged a triple-double per game over his first five seasons. Let me repeat that:. Again, putting this in p...

http://marenslife.blogspot.com/2013/04/egg-hunt-at-grandmapas.html
A day in the life. Monday, April 08, 2013. Egg Hunt at Grandma/pa's. The Saturday before Easter we had a blast hunting for eggs in Grandpa and Grandma's backyard! Grandma and the Easter bunny were quite busy making this a super fun occasion for the kids. We had a delicious lunch, dyed hard boiled eggs, and went crazy in the backyard finding candy-filled eggs everywhere! We are so lucky to live so close to Grandparents and Auntie Sarah. They are so much fun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Picture Book Mama
One Mom's Review of What She Reads With Her Kids. Thursday, January 26, 2012. I discovered this enchanting wordless picture book one day last week, while at the local library with my girls. They begged me to "read" it to them that night for their bedtime book. I started to object.it wasn't really something I could read. Since there were no words, but instead sighed and opened its pages. Then, we were all whisked away into the secret life of a humble, yet magical creature we call the tooth fairy! Adorable...

Picture Book Marathon
Sunday, February 1, 2015. Looking for this year’s Picture Book Marathon? While there’s no “official” marathon this year, it’s easy to write your own. During the month of February, write (or, for illustrators, create thumbnails for) one picture book a day, until you get to 26. This gives you two “rest” days, or, in a leap year, three. A writing buddy helps you get through the month productively! Generate a lot of material in a short amount of time. Practice a writing practice. But, if you feel you really ...
