Thirst for Purity: garden of roses
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2015/08/garden-of-roses.html
August 3, 2015. Since I was little, I have had three dreams for my life, three desires the Lord planted in my heart from an early age: The first is to one day become a wife and mother; the second, to become an author, for I'm sure you know how I love to write! And thirdly, but certainly not least of all in importance, to live for Christ and strive to give Him the glory with all I have and am. He is so above me in character and sweetness! But I tore myself away with my sister's help, and walked from the b...

Thirst for Purity: April 2011
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
April 30, 2011. Palm Sunday . Easter Celebration. I have had a VERY busy week! I meant to have these photos up long ago, but there was school to do, a drama showcase in which to partake, and a whole family of people who have needed a share of the laptop. ;) But at last, the work is finished, and I have several new photos to display. Enjoy! It looks almost as if it could be in a movie, doesn't it? It took awhile, but I finally found a way to edit it that made it have this quiet film-grain look. Yes, indee...

Thirst for Purity: May 2011
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
May 31, 2011. I just was looking through an old notebook of mine from when I was about 7-9 years old. I forgot what a strange little kid I was. *Ahem! Whom I kind of still am. I came across a little story I had started awhile ago. It was a typical one of mine I'd written again and again - - with only varying conflicts - - at least four or five times: the bad-guy was always named Phillip, and the main character was always a princess (at that age, in all of my writing, it had. Chapter 1 - Hope-n'-Help.

Thirst for Purity: Tessa
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2014/12/tessa.html
December 19, 2014. Alone Awake. Everything else is over for the night, and I'm exhausted, but I can't sleep. not yet. My favorite song (Tessa) comes on Spotify, and as it plays, I'm overwhelmed with everything the Lord has done in my life this year. Everything has changed in so short a time (including myself), and that only by the Lord's infinite grace! Before, in the midst of confusion, pain, and longing, I could not see past my own nose, while He can see well past the horizon. Twenty years of breathing...

Thirst for Purity: November 2011
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
November 25, 2011. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope you all did things that made the day all the more special to you, and are thanking God for everything He puts in your path, even though the special day set aside for it is here and gone. And now we come to the final thing on my list:. 24 Salvation in Christ Alone. As the verse goes, "And there is salvation in. No one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). November 23, 2011.

Thirst for Purity: August 2011
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
August 24, 2011. My sister prompted me countless times to read this book, and no wonder; I can hardly believe how alike my personality and struggles are to that of Katherine Mortimer in Stepping Heavenward. I'm not even a third of the way done with the book, but I read something that I just had. In reading the Bible I advise you to choose detached passages, or even one verse a day, rather than whole chapters. Study every word; ponder and pray over it till you have got from it all the truth it contains.

Thirst for Purity: July 2011
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
July 30, 2011. Respectable Sins . Prelude. I have decided to begin a series of posts for the glory of God - - a series in which I will be going through a most excellent book by Jerry Bridges; it is called ' Respectable Sins. Confronting the Sins We Tolerate'. I haven't even finished reading it yet, and it's already opened my eyes incredibly to the detail of sin. Remember when Christ pointed out that being angry with someone was equal to committing murder. Though many scholars today question whether the w...

Thirst for Purity: December 2011
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
December 31, 2011. I've read so many great books this year! Some of them were entirely new to me, while a few others are old favorites. I can't get enough of good fiction that makes me think (as a writer), and I'm trying to invite new "reads" to my extensive book list. The last two you'll see below here are nonfiction as well as amazing first-timers I would in no way be sorry to read again! The Goose Girl, by Shannon Hale. This is my favorite novel of all time! Enna Burning, by Shannon Hale. I found this...

Thirst for Purity: the little things...and the big ones
http://thirstforpurity.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-little-thingsand-big-ones.html
November 11, 2014. The little things.and the big ones. There is no other way I can think to describe it; no words adequate enough to explain the sensation that what is finally real feels so surreal; so dreamlike. I suppose it is one of those things you cannot imagine without feeling it for yourself. My descriptions are lacking. That is the thought I will hold on to. new things to come. 'Treasure the little things.' 'God is as sovereign today as He was yesterday.' 'In Christ alone.'. Wow Praise the Lord!
