Cornish Cream: August 2015
http://frenchvillagelife.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 29, 2015. A new shop in Truro. My favourite shop in France has come to Truro. When we lived in the countryside in Brittany it was always a treat to have a day out in Vannes, the nearest 'big city'. I always made a stop at Loccitane, sometimes just going in to breathe their scents of the creams. The company began with one man in 1976, who had a market stall where he sold his distilled lavender products and Marseilles soap. This dear little hamper. Contains all sorts of lovely tiny samples!

Cornish Cream: Graduation day
http://frenchvillagelife.blogspot.com/2015/07/graduation-day.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. So here we have the rear view of eldest grandson, who received his degree from Exeter University in Conservation Biology this week. The ceremony was in Truro Cathedral followed by a reception in the University. Edit; Mary asked why would Exeter Uni have the ceremony in Cornwall? Exeter has a beautiful new campus at Penryn, near Falmouth, which is where these students have been.). This lovely lady is Floella Benjamin the Chancellor of the University. Cornish Cream: An afternoon out.
http://frenchvillagelife.blogspot.com/2015/05/an-afternoon-out.html
Friday, May 15, 2015. Yesterday I took my husband to the Cornwall School of Art, Craft and Jewellery. (shown below). He had enrolled in a private class to do some Soapstone carving (prior to another stay at the Blind Veterans centre in Brighton). The school covers many different craft classes, and he came away with a perfectly formed miniature Etruscan vase. The only problem was that the place is way out in the wilds near Bodmin, and we got completely lost trying to find it. May 15, 2015 at 12:31 PM.

Cornish Cream: May 2015

Saturday, May 30, 2015. This interesting piece of scenery was part of the Oklahoma! Show that we saw last night at our City Hall. It was such a good performance, and took me right back to the days long ago when all that Truro had was an Amateur Dramatic society. Every year a different musical was put on, and we always went. I remember Oklahoma, and how we sang the songs for weeks afterwards. Even the American accents were well done, not always easy if you are English! And the singing was superb. A little...

Susan being Snippy: Yarn Dilemna
http://susanbeingsnippy.blogspot.com/2015/08/yarn-dilemna.html
8220;Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” Vincent Van Gogh. Thursday, August 13, 2015. The other day my friend Doris brought me some yarn that she had acquired from free or cheap sources. She did not need all that she had got so shared some of the treasures with me. That makes it awfully expensive. I guess I just live in a more frugal, common world! So I thought that I would play around with this "special" yarn. I had actually considered listing these balls of yarn on ...
