In October 2012, PieceMakers came together to create a room full of soaring doves at Florence House, in Portland Maine. Florence House is a home for chronically homeless women, trying to change their lives.

I create many of my mosaics on old tables and benches, windowpanes, mirrors, trays, frames, and other household items. I use stained glass scraps, broken china, jewelry, beads, tiles, and anything else I can glue down. I love to transform something old, ugly or battered into something beautiful.
