Sunday, August 20, 2006. It has been quite a while since I've set aside time to blog, so here it is. I figure I would just catch you up on all the things going on around here. First we are very happy to say that Dan White will be joining the team here in October as well as Katie and possibly a few others. Praise the Lord for fellow workers! Jeremiah Gillingham is happily crawling all over the place now. Ryan and Tasha are due to have their baby in October, yippee, Josh and I are to be proud God-parents.

I don't think I need to go into depth about who I am and where I have been. Here's where I am now. I wait, and wait, and wait. I wait for my background check to come in. I wait for my marriage certificate to be in my hand. I wait to be able to work in Canada. I wait to send in my Perminant Residency papers. I wait to see what my next bill is going to look like. Sunday, March 30, 2008. The War College 2008. My annual teaching trip to The War College in Vancouver, Canada for 2008 is now officially history. The history part is a sad thing as I am already missing the DTES with its many good friends, students, powerful ministry and cute little mice in the apartment. Well, 3 out of 4 ain't bad! Here are some thoughts about my trip:. Time with leadership and past missioners than this year's batch of students. A smashing success, I'd say! Who was exceptionally generous!

Monday, May 05, 2008. Please Pray with us for our Friend. Other than a complete healing even before they start, we are praying for a long surgery (approx 5 hrs), because that will mean they can deal with it all at once. If it is a short surgery (approx 2 hrs), then it means they were not able to deal with it all and will have to go in again at a later date. The good part is that he just got saved a few days ago! He is concerned that he will be able to keep up this change after he recovers.

Saturday, June 07, 2008. Leadership Series: Part 4. Fraternizing. Perhaps "fraternization" isn't really the word I want here, but at least it should get your attention. What I'm referring to is how leadership relates to those they lead. Should we pretend we're not human? Should we act like once we have become officers we no longer have spiritual issues to deal with? What a falsifying of the truth . . . what a lie. Herein lies the real issue of this discussion- are leaders better than the people they lead?
