Sunday, November 30, 2008. Thanksgiving at the Mansell's. Erik preparing to rotisserie the turkey. He had to watch Alton Brown demonstration on how to tie a turkey several times on the laptop, but he got it down. We also celebrated Ryan's birthday which was on Thanksgiving this year. Thursday, February 26, 2009. Grandma Kat has been staying with us this month. Here's a pic of Lars and her making her new signature salad. The salad is romaine, tangelo slices, and sliced avocado. With a dressing of olive oil, red wine vinegar, little salt, and lots of garlic powder. Yum! Lars loves food and cooking, he always bringing one of his chairs over to go look and see what going on and if can help or eat whatever is being prepared. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Just got back from our annual week long trip to our family's beach cottage on the Chesapeake Bay for July 4th. The Dvoracek's, my Dad, Aunt KK and Curt joined us. The weather was amazing, mid to low 80s, what a relief from the record highs we've had here! Tuesday, June 9, 2009. We spent Memorial Day at the beautiful Howell Estate. It was beautiful day, and the and we were thankful that they let us enjoy the day with them. Lars especially felt comfortable there, he took a nice 3 hour nap there. Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Kristin playing dress up. Love the 1984 headband! She also decided she need some make up on so she took some pink chapstick and put it all over her cheeks and lips.nice. Ian is now taking bath with the big kids! He makes a bigger splash than the older kids do! My pants are frequently drenched by the time he gets out of there. Oh and one quick quote from Lars this morning, after Lars overheard me telling Ian I was going to "eat him up", Lars calmly said "Mommy don't bite Ian.".

Monday, August 24, 2009. Kristin's first day of Kindergarten! Aunt KK, also known as Ms. Larsen her new Kindergarten teacher picked her up this morning. Last night before bed Kristin kept saying, "I just can't wait, I just can't wait! She was up at 6:30 this morning in my room with her uniform on already to go!
