Over in the Meadow

Over in the Meadow. Sunday, April 5, 2009. My Testimony or Why Would I Send My Sons on a Mission for Two Years? As my wedding day got closer, my mom and my priest tried to "talk some sense into me". What about two religions and children? How would we work that out? What about the teachings of the Episcopal church? What about the Trinity? I asked my priest who tried to explain, but I just did not get it. 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. These may be...

Over in the Meadow: Going to the Fair

http://www.piercefamilyessentials.blogspot.com/2009/04/going-to-fair.html

Over in the Meadow. Sunday, April 5, 2009. Going to the Fair. Having just said goodbye (again) to Logan and knowing that Lane would be leaving for his mission soon, we decided to take the family to the fair for a fun day of making memories. Lane has always proved to be a daredevil when it comes to fast rides, but I did not know that Laura age 9 was a daredevil, too. She and Lane had fun riding the fastest rides. I had fun watching and taking pictures. That's daring enough for me. I love talking about hom...

The de Gaston Family: Busy Times

http://degastonfamily.blogspot.com/2009/10/busy-times.html

The de Gaston Family. Dave, Melanie, Jonathan, Matthew, Rachel, Hannah, Lizzie, Sarah and Joshua. Sunday, October 11, 2009. It's nice that Rachel is already learning to write complete sentences in the beginning of 1st grade, instead of waiting until 3rd like Matthew. She has to write dictated sentences almost daily, remembering the capital letters and punctuation. She's doing really well with it. She is reading better every day, and catches on quickly to all her phonics and language lessons.

Dave stayed behind and took care of things with the house and went to work every day. He's such a wonderful man! Sarah was born on November 16, 2010 at 7:00 pm. She weighed ...

The de Gaston Family. Dave, Melanie, Jonathan, Matthew, Rachel, Hannah, Lizzie, Sarah and Joshua. Saturday, April 11, 2009. Some of you may have heard about the fires in Oklahoma on Thursday, April 9 th. So, this happened in our ward boundaries. There were actually two different wild fires in our ward boundaries. 35-40 houses were destroyed in these fires, and nobody in our ward lost their homes. Even though some of their neighbors did. I urge any of you who read this to get prepared. Be prepared for...

The Miller Family blog. Monday, January 19, 2009. Happy New Year 2009 I am not sure it is starting off too happy. I have a cold for over a week, and still a lot of sinus pressure and have been sick twice this year with a coughing thing and it is only the 19th! UGH I am hoping that it gets out of my system soon and thay I will be on to a healthier year this year! I am glad that my family is not sick too. I have tried to keep them away. I hope this blog is the "most unhealthy" blog I ever write.

Feeling Inspired

Friday, November 15, 2013. Dear Family and Friends,. My heart felt a strong tug and the seed of adoption was planted. I never thought adoption was for me and I honestly was kind of in the category of indifferent. I felt bad for orphans like any human being with a heart does, but I didn’t really think I had any role to play in adoption. Why are we adopting? We love the idea of being able to share our story with others and show other’s an example of Christ’s love through adopting. I really thought this wou...
