About Pig 'N Steak. Those who know the owner, John E. Lohr personally can understand why he has the recipe and technique for barbeque down to a science. He started out cooking hogs and pigs on a grill for private parties over 35 years ago. He built up quite a reputation many years before he ventured inside and opened the Pig-N-Steak. We also take pride in our steaks which are cut fresh and never frozen. We don't list ‘em on our menu so we don't have to freeze them.
