Halfway between Nashville and Pigeon Forge, we stopped at a small city called Kingston. After posing for a few pictures by the sign we were just about to hit the highway again when we passed another sign that said Kingston had been state capital for one day. The old court building doubled up as a museum and we ended up going inside to take a look. We met a woman there who was involved in running it, and also a guy from Bradford - all those miles away and we meet someone from Bradford, crazy!

10th June - we spent the night at the Dixie Stampede, a brilliant way to spend the evening! Http:/ www.dixiestampede.com. There was a four course meal with a vegetarian option for Wes and I. We started off with a creamy sweetcorn soup which was really tasty, corn on the cob. For main course we had a tomato pasta. Paul and everyone else had chicken. There was an apple strudel type dish for dessert and we were topped up with coke whenever we desired!

Gatlinburg is the nearest big(ish) town to Pigeon Forge. We took a ride out there on the first night looking for a place to have a drink. We didnt find anywhere and most places looked closed up so I dont know what its like for a night out, but we did take a couple of wrong turns so we may have actually missed the main street. The Wes Paul Band Arrive in. The Wes Paul Band. Stayed at a Log Cabin (Bear Camp Cabin) in Pigeon Forge. On Wednesday 9th June 2010 (5.00 pm) after travelling 210 miles from Nashville. Was naturally on the cards and whilst investigating in town we realised that another great attraction was Dollys Dixie Stampede. We didnt really have time to go to both as we were only in town for a couple of days so it had to be The Dixie Stampede. It was fantastic and worth every cent. FIRST - stop off in Kingston.
